The Black Tent

During the British retreat in North Africa in World War Two a British Army captain, David Holland (Anthony Steel), takes shelter with a Bedouin tribe and marries the sheik's daughter (Anna-Maria Sandri). Ten years later Holland's younger brother Charles (Donald Sinden), is informed that David may still be alive in Libya and sets out to find him.

Following the agreement of ITV Global a short 'introduction' to the film is featured below.  The edited clips show Charles Holland learning the news about his 'lost' brother and setting off to North Africa in search of clues about his whereabouts.  As the 'press pack', which is featured below and issued to cinemas on the release of the film in 1956, asks "Was his brother killed in the savage fight against Rommel in the Western Desert in 1942?  Or did he survive to make his life among the wandering Bedouins of North Africa?".  The trailer illustrates a number of scenes from the unfolding story and takes us up to the point where, with some help from his trusted guide (Donald Pleasance), David discovers the Black Tent and the adventure can then begin.
